PROFILE - ALANA CARTER
At a young age, my passion for motorsports was ignited by my dad's lifelong involvement in racing, which meant I spent a significant amount of time at the racetrack during my formative years. My own racing career began on the oval track, where I achieved great success with numerous podium finishes and a season championship.
Driving on a dirt oval track, with minimal traction and constantly having to control a powerful 620hp late model car, was both thrilling and immensely rewarding when everything came together. This experience helped me develop the skills necessary for success in other areas of racing.
Upon completing my degree, I felt compelled to pursue my passion for motorsports beyond building my own race car and competing in a handful of local races each summer. As a result, I made the decision to relocate to Toronto, where I discovered my dream job at a private car club named RCLUB. I was fortunate to be surrounded by supportive individuals who encouraged me to chase my dream.
When I found out about Formula Woman, I was eager to apply and got to work immediately by attending as many track days as possible, practicing on simulators, and hiring a personal trainer to improve my physical fitness. Thanks to their support, I was selected to join the team, and since then, I've been working tirelessly to continue improving my skills.
I'm excited to be competing in the GT Cup with my team this year. In the meantime, I'll also be racing the Scalar Performance SCR1, the first fully electric touring car in North America, and participating in endurance racing with my RCLUB team in our Nissan 350z. My first race is this weekend, and I can't wait to see what this season has in store for me.
MEDIA TRAINING REPORT
Louise Goodman recently conducted a media training session at iZone. This type of training is a critical aspect of any motorsport career, and those who participated in the session gained a newfound sense of confidence and were thoroughly impressed with the experience.
