After months of assessments, tests and training, Formula Woman today, (11thMarch 2022), announced the winners of this year’s competition.
From 800 applicants, four drivers and two reserves have now been selected. Erika Hoffman (Canada), Jodi Sloss (Scotland), Anushriya Gulati (India) and Sara Misir (Jamaica) are the official drivers of the Formula Woman GT Cup Team.
Providing support will also be two reserve drivers, Steph Sore (England) and Amy Riley (England) who will be helping the official drivers and be on standby should their services be required.
The first round of assessments took place back in September 2021 at Anglesey Circuit with further rounds at Bedford Autodrome and Knockhill. Alongside on track training in the award winning all electric Vauxhall Corsa-e, the applicants took part in, karting, simulator training, fitness and mental performance programmes and written tests.
The assessments culminated in 75 finalists who went through three days of eliminations at PF International and Croft Circuit. 10 finalists and one wildcard then progressed to the shootout in Sweden where the winners were announced this morning.
Along the way, Formula Woman also provided numerous other opportunities to the all-female community including trackdays with Javelin in The Trade Centre Group BMWs, a trip to the British Grand Prix, several karting events and visits to Carfest and SupercarFest.
