COMPETITION V COMMUNITY
Last year’s Formula Woman competition was won by four very talented young ladies who are now competing in GT Cup in their DTO McLaren GT4 race cars. This year’s competition has now commenced, as can be seen from the closing date countdown timer on our website - Formulawoman.com, starting with assessment days in October (North America) and November (UK and Europe)
Most of the new Formula Woman applications from around the world are from women who are hoping to enter the new competition with a view to going racing and learning how to become a race driver.
Some of our applicants past and present simply want to improve their driving skills and have fun learning with other like-minded women. The desire to grow the Formula Woman community globally is amazing and we welcome all new and existing members to grow the community with our team.
Whether you are competitive or not, we will have many exciting opportunities coming your way in 2023 and beyond.
Although we are excited about the remaining GT Cup races, the forthcoming Boot Tours and of course the Formula Woman assessments in 2022, we would like to support you all to engage via your social media and invite you to join us at some of our gatherings in the near future.
SOCIAL MEDIA AND YOUTUBE
Did you know that Formula Woman has its own YouTube channel?
Why not have a look at some of last year’s applicants who did their PTC’s (Piece to Camera).
These were done for TV and guess what?... we need the new applicants to do the same please.
You can do this on your phone at work, home, at a race track or even on holiday.
Simply say your name, where you are from , what you do for a living and anything funny or of interest!
There are some merchandise prizes for the best 6 PTC’s!

NORTH AMERICA AND GLOBAL ASSESSMENTS
It is likely that North American applicants will have a choice of either undertaking their assessment in North America or choosing to come to the UK on the 30th November prior to the finals which have now been set for 5thDecember.
Last year, our GT Cup winner Erika Hoffman did her assessment near Toronto and made it through to the finals. Sara Misir chose to come over from Jamaica to our UK assessment and also made it through to become a GT Cup driver.
We recognize that last year many overseas applicants competed and trained in the UK and had a holiday at the same time. We want to accommodate you all wherever you are in the world!

DTO EXPERIENCE DAYS
DTO Motorsport, the chosen race team running this year’s Formula Woman winners in the GT Cup, has developed training packages tailored to support 2023 applicants in their preparation for the competition. The programme is overseen by DTOs Head of Coaching & Performance, Elliot Cole, and provides a great foundation in the skills needed for the Formula Woman 2023 programme. The programme is running at circuits across the UK through 2022.
