Formula Woman Newsletter - 19th October 2022

We would like to wish all our Formula Woman applicants taking their assessements today in Canada, at Calabogie Motorsports Park, the best of luck and look forward to seeing some of you in the UK soon.

As usual more important information for you all to absorb this week so read on....

THE NEW VAUXHALL ASTRA FOR THE UK ASSESSMENTS

We are delighted to announce that we will be continuing our partnership with Vauxhall. This year we will be using the new Astra for the assessments in the UK. The cars will be right-hand drive and all with a manual transmission apart from one car with an automatic transmission for any competitor who is uncomfortable driving a manual gearbox vehicle.

JAVELIN

One of our commercial partners is Javelin track days. They operate track days across the UK and recently have cut their prices in line with the current economic climate. If you have your own car and would like to go on track, please contact Javelin direct to see which days are on offer www.javelintrackdays.co.uk. In some cases, we can provide you with one of our top-class Formula Woman instructors.

LAST BOOT TOUR OF THE YEAR

Following the success of our boot tours, the last one we will do this year will be 17th to 19th November which is ideal for those who have managed to find a personal sponsor to prepare well for your assessment.

For those who don’t know what the boot tour is, it's a three-day intensive course with two nights accommodation based close to Silverstone and Bedford Autodrome. It comprises of karting, on track instruction, simulator training in the McLaren, and accommodation and meals at Chicheley Hall Hotel. Incredibly good value, limited places available, and the chance to learn about mind performance and sponsorship.

ONLINE PORTAL GROUPS

The Online Portal is a learning space - free online lessons to prepare for the assessments. It’s also a space that has been designed for our applicants to chat before the assessments and get to know each other.

As of now, there are groups created for every assessment day. You can use the group to get to know each other before the assessment day and to ask us any questions that you might have.

You can take a look by going to https://portal.formulawoman.co.uk/

SPARCO

As some of you may know, Sparco has been a race suit and helmet supplier for our drivers. To support our partner, we would like to ask our applicants not to post pictures from Sparco’s competitor racewear and helmets brands on Formula Woman track days and Boot Tours. Sparco helmets will be provided to all competitors on the assessments and finals. Thank you for your understanding.

JAGUAR DAY

Some of you are keen to get behind the wheel of one of our Project 8 Jaguars, well guess what… you can. We are arranging a couple of days prior to the assessments which will give you four sessions with instruction. For further details contact

Currently, there are six WhatsApp groups, including one for the UK.
