Applicant Newsletters
Formula Woman Newsletter - 9th December 2022
The 2022/23 Formula Woman competition concluded this week with two new winners. Congratulations to Eliza Seville and Alana Carter for everyone at Formula Woman.
Please read our press release below that was distributed this morning.
The 2022/23 Formula Woman winners were announced last night as the top ten took on a series of tests in a close-fought competition for the two places in the Formula Woman race team.
After a gruelling series of tests at Bedford Autodrome, over 200 applicants were whittled down to fifty who were then reduced further to the Top Ten Shoot Out.
Over 23 different countries were represented in this year’s competition, powered by social media, Formula Woman reached many parts of the world and brought together many like-minded women all hoping to win the ultimate prize, to compete in GT Cup next year.
This year’s assessments included a driving test in the latest Vauxhall Astra, karting, fitness, sponsor awareness, media, and a written test.
The countries represented in the Top Ten Shoot Out were England, France, Hong Kong, Australia and Canada. The ten finalists were pushed further as they took to the track to set a series of lap times driving the Trade Centre UK BMWs. The competition was tough, with the top five covered by only a couple of seconds.
After much deliberation, the two overall winners of the 2022/23 competition were announced as Eliza Seville (England) and Alana Carter (Canada).
Hector Rodriguez Curbelo from Wealth Club Coin presented the two champions with their trophies and 10,000 Bitcoins each, whilst the eight runners-up received 1,000 Bitcoins each.
The Nations Cup selection was also completed in the afternoon with an assessed driving test in the Vauxhall Astras, with 20 countries qualifying for the Autumn 2023 Cup, which will be held overseas, and further details will be announced shortly.
Eliza and Alana will join last year’s champions and will be trained, guided and managed as they prepare for the GT Cup championship in 2023.

Graeme Glew, Founder and CEO of Formula Woman commented, “I am absolutely delighted with the outcome of this year’s competition. We have found two superb talents and welcome them to the Formula Woman Team. I would also like to congratulate everyone who took part this year and wish them in well in what they do and of course we are here to continue supporting everyone in the quest to become female racing drivers.”
Eliza Seville, Formula Woman 2022/23 Winner, “This feels really incredible. I have been on quite a journey, having got to the final ten last year and missed out, I refocused and worked harder, which has all paid off.”
“I can’t wait to get on track and will now be preparing with lots of track and simulator time so I am as well prepared as possible for GT Cup next year.”
Alana Carter, Formula Woman 2022/23 Winner, “It’s a huge honour to have won. It has been a tough competition and to have been selected from such a worthy group of girls is incredible. I am very excited.”
“I am so glad to have taken part, I met Erika, who won last year, back home in Canada and she encouraged me to have a go. So I did my assessment at Calabogie Motorsports Park with 17 other women and got through. It’s like a dream come true, it’s been crazy, so I am going to go home, enjoy the moment and work hard to prepare for the GT Cup.”

WEALTH CLUB ORGANIZATION SPONSORS FORMULA WOMAN ASSESSMENTS AND FINALS
Formula Woman is delighted to announce a new commercial partnership between Formula Woman and the Wealth Club Organization - the title sponsors for the 2022 Formula Woman assessments and finals at Bedford autodrome.
The Wealth Club Organization was initially created to offer a hybrid fiat-crypto environment for their community to build and develop a successful financial future. Today, Wealth Club is a vast infrastructure with over 200,000 students, based on blockchain technology with the primary purpose of marrying the world of cryptocurrencies with the “real world” in the form of fiat-crypto exchanges, real estate crypto investments, sports car crypto programs, and more with an incredible global community. Formula Woman is excited to be associated with this fast-growing global project.
Directed by Héctor Rodriguez Curbelo, one of the world's most well known Latin American business influencers, Wealth Club facilitates access to cryptocurrency by teaching, helping implement, and educating the masses on the benefits of blockchain technology. WCC (Wealth Club Coin) is a major cryptocurrency born within this organization and is projected to reach and help over a hundred million individuals in the upcoming years.
“When I first learned about Formula Woman, I thought we needed to be involved! With the massive appeal they have generated in such a short space of time across 45 different countries, their global platform is ideal for partnering with us through our global project Wealth Club Coin. We are very excited about this opportunity to develop our business activities in the motor sports scene and in support of talented sportswomen.”
Héctor Rodríguez Curbelo – Founder & Director of the Wealth Cub Organization
“ In an ever-changing economic climate, I feel it necessary to keep ‘on the pulse’ of developments in the world of blockchain and cryptocurrency. I was recently introduced to WCC, and I became fascinated by the scope of the project Héctor and his team are building. Together with Formula Woman’s passion for progressive thinking and educating the talents of tomorrow, it felt that the WCC and Formula woman philosophies reinstate on multiple levels.”
Graeme Glew Founder and CEO of Formula Woman

Two weeks to go …Are You Ready!
For all those of you entering the Formula Woman competition this year, this week's newsletter sets out the format you need to be preparing for.
Please note there are some very important things you need to do prior to arriving at Bedford for your assessment, so please read on.
Plus there are some last chance opportunities and bearing in mind karting will form a large part of the assessment, you may wish to book onto one of the last minute events.
UK & INTERNATIONAL ASSESSMENTS
23RD/24TH AND 30TH NOVEMBER
BEDFORD AUTODROME.
These days are divided into six assessments which take place throughout the day, three before lunch and three after lunch. You will all be working as a team as this is what endurance racing is all about.
DRIVING ASSESSMENT
Vauxhall are supporting Formula Woman with six of the new Astra’s and after some basic instruction, you will be asked to complete three laps concentrating on lines and braking. Instructors will be looking for natural driving ability, vision and concentration.
The driving test on track carries 30 marks out of 100.
Each car carries two GoPro cameras, one facing forward and one filming you!
Wearing our Formula Woman suits and Sparco open face helmets is compulsory.
KARTING
This test will be based on a combination of who is fastest and who stays on the track. It is a race, and you will have some practice laps.
The Karting Test carries 25 marks out of 100.
FITNESS
All race drivers have to be fit and healthy. There will be six tests and you will be working in pairs as follows;
Battle Rope
Skipping Rope
Sit Ups/Slam Ball pass
Reaction Balls
Med Ball Chest pass
Back Lunge Row/Resistance bands
The Fitness Tests carry 20 marks out of 100.
MEDIA
You can’t be camera shy to be a racing driver and this is your chance to promote your personal sponsor by wearing a branded t-shirt or cap whilst you undertake your one-to-one media test or PTC (Piece to Camera).
The Media Test carries 10 marks out of 100.
SPONSOR AWARENESS
Motorsport doesn’t work without commercial sponsors or partners as we prefer to call them. At the assessments we have our own sponsors attending and they are all present in terms of brand exposure.
This year we are encouraging all competitors to use their phones to take still and video shots throughout the day (apart from when you are driving of course!) Social Media is a huge part of motorsport activation now.
This test is to see how you would activate and engage with sponsors and is connected to the Written Test which will be undertaken separately.
We want to see what you know about finding personal sponsors and just as important, how you look after them.
The Written Test also contains questions related to the Formula Woman online portal, so make sure you study this before you attend the assessments.
A combined 15 marks out of 100 applies to these two tests.
HAVE YOU RETURNED YOUR FORMS?
Please make sure you have returned the forms we sent you if you are attending one of the assessment days otherwise you will be unable to compete.
If for any reason you are not attending, please let us know as we have a reserve list.
Deadline for completing the online registration is Wednesday 16th November for all remaining assessment dates

INTERNATIONAL REPRESENTATIVES AND PIECE TO CAMERA
Formula Woman has grown amazingly well outside the UK and it’s largely thanks to social media.
Women come across our Instagram or Tiktok accounts and see real-life examples of how this competition and community is taking shape, taking novice enthusiasts to professional racing drivers.
To keep breathing new life into our social media platforms, we would like to ask our new applicants to make a Piece to Camera. It would be a short video introducing yourselves, letting us know why you applied to Formula Woman, what drew you to motorsport and anything else you might think is important to add.
Once you’ve finished filming the video, please send it to jodie@f1.co.uk

Formula Woman Newsletter - 23rd September 2022
Welcome to this week's newsletter. Can't believe we are talking about Christmas already and the date of the Formula Woman Christmas Party!
We also have two more chances this year to take part in the very popular Boot Tours and some more information on how to gain personal sponsorship.
Don't forget to press play on this week's video clip.
BOOT TOUR AND FW COURSE CLARIFICATION
Many of you are keen to do the Boot Tour, the ones who have been on the last two have found the intensive training very useful, beneficial and great fun. We have only been able to plan two more Boot Tours before the assessments in November, one course - October 16th to 18th and the other – November 17th to 19th.
It is important to clarify that the sponsorship some of you raise from your own personal sponsors is for training and nothing to do with this year’s competition. The Formula Woman competition, assessments, finals and next years prize are fully funded by our own commercial partners.
We have a number of one-to-one training courses still available and also the introductory training. Therefore, the remaining places on all our pre-assessment training days can either be funded by you or your personal sponsors.
As in any sport, training is advisable, you have chosen an addictive and expensive sport to pursue which has always relied on sponsors. The assessments involve six tests and are judged fairly to find 50 finalists.
You don’t have to train with Formula Woman, we have tried to offer courses at a cost-effective rate in motorsport terms, but on the day, the ones who will get through to the finals will be those who prepared well!
Make sure you have completed the online Formula Woman portal test prior to your assessment day too!
For further information on all our courses contact;

SPONSOR GUIDELINES
Well done to all of you who have secured your own personal sponsors. We have some sponsor guidelines to help those who haven’t yet managed to.
The boot tour includes a more in-depth guide on how to secure personal backers and sponsors.
If you would like a copy of the guidelines, contact;
Shloka@f1.co.uk

Formula Woman Newsletter - 15th September 2022
This week's newsletter is all about the past, present and the future. Formula Woman is growing...
BOOT TOURS
We have successfully organized two Boot Tours, but there will only be two more this year.
The Formula Woman team has developed this type of training to maximize your gains in the three days that you will be spending with us.
We will guide you through a day of karting, where you will compete against 15 other ladies to see who can get across the line first.
The next day, instructors will guide you through the process of driving in a simulator at iZone.
Last but not least, you will be learning with one of our pro coaches on track. They will help you advance and accelerate your driving skills and eliminate any bad driving habits!
What makes this experience so special are the 15 other girls that will go through this with you. From different countries and walks of life, there are bound to be some interesting conversations and new friendships made.
All this and more including two nights accommodation and meals.
Here are the confirmed dates for the next Boot Tours:
16th to 18th October - Three Day Boot Tour (karting, track day and sim)
17th to 19th November – Three Day Boot Tour (karting, track day and sim)
Here are some words from the girls that participated in the September Boot Tour:

“The Boot Tour definitely exceeded my expectations, the whole event was super beneficial, giving me lots of confidence going forward in the competition.” Lynne - Inverclyde Scotland
“I had so much fun meeting everyone, I love the support and friendships I’ve gained during this Boot Tour. Everything has been so helpful I can’t wait to put it to use on the track.” Gina - Plymouth USA

SPONSOR GUIDELINES
Is motorsport expensive? Yes, it's one of the most expensive sports in the world. However, even though the competition prize is fully sponsored and there will only be two winners this year, don't let that stop you from finding personal sponsors.
Regardless of how far you go with your racing career, most of you will need sponsors. Some girls have managed to secure sponsors from the very beginning and got them to cover their assessment and accommodation costs.
We have made some sponsor guidelines to help you in the pursuit of potential sponsorship.
If you would like to receive the guidelines, please contact
shloka@f1.co.uk
TRACK DAYS
To become proficient at any sport you have to train. That’s why we encourage everyone to train before their assessment. It could be karting, improving your general fitness level, practicing on a simulator or going on track days.
Whatever training you have decided to do based on your current situation, you will improve your skills one way or another. If you choose to do your training with Formula Woman, we are offering the following track days.
At the moment there are four available dates to book a track day with us:
3rd October - Snetterton Track Day
24th October - Bedford Track Day
1st November - Snetterton Track Day
7th November - Bedford Track Day
Please note that bookings can be made only on a first come first served basis, so if you wish to make a booking we suggest you do so sooner rather than later.

FORMULA WOMAN GLOBAL INSTAGRAM ACCOUNT
The Formula Woman community is growing by the minute, spanning 43 countries just by applicants alone. To keep spreading our global reach, we have made an Instagram account dedicated to our international community.

PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE
Formula Woman started in 2004 and we are trying to track down women who took part in the competitions we ran all those years ago. Why?
Because we are organizing a Christmas karting event and awards dinner.
Soon we will be posting an invitation on social media to track down all the competitors from the 2004 Championship, the 2005 FW Guinness World Record event, the 2006 Caterham Series and of course everyone who has been involved with us over the past 18 months.
The venue will be centered around a kart track in the UK and who knows, we may be able to set another new Guinness World Record for women in motorsport.
So, if you would like further information or maybe you know someone who was part of the original Formula Woman events please contact:

Formula Woman Newsletter - 7th September 2022
In this week’s newsletter:
2023 Competition Prize announced
Formula Woman Nations Cup Selection Date
Available Track Day and Boot Tour dates
Fun Cup Race Opportunity
Mind Performance preparation
Junior Membership
THE PRIZE FOR THIS YEAR’S COMPETITORS
There will be two winners in the 2022/23 Formula woman Competition. One winner will have absolutely zero experience (novice) and the other will be for a competitor who has had track and/or race experience. The prize for both will be the same, but the training process will be different from last year in order to ensure both winners are ready for racing in 2023.
The prize for last year’s winners has been extended into the 2023 GT Cup Championship and the two winners of this year’s competition will join them later in the season.
There will be an extensive training process for our new winners which will include race licence, ice driving, test days, races in lower categories and of course GT Cup.
There will be 50 places in the finals on 5th December at Bedford Autodrome and there will be 48 opportunities created for those that don’t make the final two.
FORMULA WOMAN NATIONS CUP SELECTION
In 2006 Formula Woman ran a Nations Cup event at Rockingham in the UK which was a huge success and was won by Nettan Lindgren of Sweden. Competitors came from around the world to compete and in 2023 plans are being developed to run another similar event.
The Nations Cup selection day is on 7th December at Bedford Autodrome and is open to all finalists from any country. Two drivers will be selected from each country and there will be 50 places for the day where 32 drivers can qualify (16 cars) for the 2023 Nations Cup Challenge.
With both dates above it will be a win win situation for all those who do well in their assessments.
AVAILABLE TRAINING DATES IN THE UK
You don’t have to train before the competition, but like any sport it is advisable if you want to do well. Motorsport is not cheap, but we have tried to offer some cost effective coaching/training for you leading up to the competition in November/December.
Remember, if you can’t afford the training, many competitors found themselves a personal sponsor last year, which covered their testing, travel and accommodation. Those that do secure sponsors will be able to do their piece to camera at the assessment with their new found sponsor branded shirt and or cap.
Here are the confirmed dates for boot camp (3 days) one to one (full day) and half day sessions;
11th to 14th September - 3 Day Boot Tour (karting, track day and sim)
3rd October - Snetterton Track Day
16th to 18th October - 3 Day Boot Tour (karting, track day and sim)
24th October - Bedford Track Day

17th to 19th November - 3 Day Boot Tour (karting, track day and sim)
Please note that bookings can be made only on a first come first served basis, so if you wish to make a booking we suggest you do so sooner rather than later.

FUN CUP RACE OPPORTUNITY
Fun Cup is a growing endurance series and our new GT Cup team driver, Alicia Barrett, is looking for two ladies (with a race licence) to join her at Donington on the 23rd and 24th September in one of the Fun Cup arrive and Drive race cars.
Take a look at www.funcup.co.uk to see how the series works.
Quite a few applicants from last year gained their ARDS race licence and this is a very cost-effective way of getting some seat time!
Everything is included in the price! If you would like to know more contact
Jodie@f1.co.uk
MIND PERFORMANCE PREPARATION
We know you are keen to move forward on your Formula Woman journey and learn as much as you can about becoming a racing driver! Motorsport is fast-paced and you are going to have to learn new skills fast and be able to put yourself into an optimal performance state on demand when it matters.
You need to be able to regulate your emotional state and have sufficient brain power to focus effectively, and make quick and accurate decisions. These are aspects of mental fitness in motorsport that separate the best from the rest, and these skills will be assessed in The Competition this year.
To support you with your development, you can now complete a trial assessment and find out how your mental fitness compares to last year’s finalists. If aspects of your mental fitness need improving, you can get support to help close the gap so you are well prepared for the real assessment. Contact;
sabine@winnersinstitute.co.uk
FORMULA WOMAN JUNIOR MEMBERSHIP
Due to the demand from under 17’s Formula Woman is introducing junior memberships where any female from the age of 12 to 17 can get on to the Formula Woman ladder. They will benefit from the usual, welcome pack, portal access, newsletters and the track days will be mainly karting opportunities. Formula Woman Newsletter - 24th August 2022
Quite a busy newsletter this week, so please read carefully so as not to miss out. A couple of the main points, the Formula Woman Portal, a very important part of the competition and the assessements days and dates.
The Boot Camps and Trackdays have been a huge success and there is an announcement about these for the rest of the year.
TRACK DAYS & BOOT TOURS
The demand for One to One, Introductory and Boot Tour Days has exceeded the days we have available. We are virtually full for both August and September,
However, we are putting on several days towards the end of September, all of October and the beginning of November.
For those of you who are training hard for your assessment day in November, we want to help you to be well prepared.
Our chief instructor and McLaren development driver Katie Milner is putting together a list of all those who would like to have some tuition and coaching. If you are one of these competitors, please contact Katie to get on to our priority list. As the dates and venues are secured, Katie can then contact each of you on the list prior to the dates going on to our weekly newsletter.

COMPETITION V COMMUNITY
We are aware that some of you don’t wish to enter the competition in November, but just want to be a part of The Formula Woman Community.
Formula Woman is about growing our community across the globe. Currently our team are developing more opportunities to attend and be involved with our core team as representatives.
So far, we have members from 42 countries, nearly all of whom have become dedicated Formula Woman supporters.
Next month we will be announcing our junior membership for all young ladies under the age of 17 who want to start early!
Mara@f1.co.uk
PERSONAL SPONSORS
Last year we encouraged applicants to look for personal sponsorship to offset their costs of travel and accommodation. Many used their sponsors to fund their on-track training.
This worked extremely well for some and in return we placed their sponsors branding on the helmets for their assessment, which was picked up by the onboard TV cameras.
This year we are suggesting you wear your sponsors branded cap and/or T shirt
As everyone will be doing a direct PTC (piece to camera) to test your media skills. The footage captured will be available to you for social media use and available to Formula Woman for TV coverage if you make it through to the finals.
THE FORMULA WOMAN PORTAL
For all those in the competition, you must complete the basics of motorsport as well as the health team section. Each section gives you a certificate when completed and everyone attending assessment days should make sure they have completed all the online courses.
For our members from the UK, the initial assessment days will be 23rd November and 24th November. These will be held at Bedford Autodrome.
For members from Europe and overseas who are travelling to the UK, your assessment day will be 30th November at the same venue Bedford Autodrome (nearest airports are Luton and Stansted).
The UK assessment days are open to members who have joined since 18thSeptember 2021, plus those who were unable to attend last year and asked to postpone until 2022.

COMPETITION V COMMUNITY
Last year’s Formula Woman competition was won by four very talented young ladies who are now competing in GT Cup in their DTO McLaren GT4 race cars. This year’s competition has now commenced, as can be seen from the closing date countdown timer on our website - Formulawoman.com, starting with assessment days in October (North America) and November (UK and Europe)
Most of the new Formula Woman applications from around the world are from women who are hoping to enter the new competition with a view to going racing and learning how to become a race driver.
Some of our applicants past and present simply want to improve their driving skills and have fun learning with other like-minded women. The desire to grow the Formula Woman community globally is amazing and we welcome all new and existing members to grow the community with our team.
Whether you are competitive or not, we will have many exciting opportunities coming your way in 2023 and beyond.
Although we are excited about the remaining GT Cup races, the forthcoming Boot Tours and of course the Formula Woman assessments in 2022, we would like to support you all to engage via your social media and invite you to join us at some of our gatherings in the near future.
SOCIAL MEDIA AND YOUTUBE
Did you know that Formula Woman has its own YouTube channel?
Why not have a look at some of last year’s applicants who did their PTC’s (Piece to Camera).
These were done for TV and guess what?... we need the new applicants to do the same please.
You can do this on your phone at work, home, at a race track or even on holiday.
Simply say your name, where you are from , what you do for a living and anything funny or of interest!
There are some merchandise prizes for the best 6 PTC’s!

NORTH AMERICA AND GLOBAL ASSESSMENTS
It is likely that North American applicants will have a choice of either undertaking their assessment in North America or choosing to come to the UK on the 30th November prior to the finals which have now been set for 5thDecember.
Last year, our GT Cup winner Erika Hoffman did her assessment near Toronto and made it through to the finals. Sara Misir chose to come over from Jamaica to our UK assessment and also made it through to become a GT Cup driver.
We recognize that last year many overseas applicants competed and trained in the UK and had a holiday at the same time. We want to accommodate you all wherever you are in the world!

DTO Motorsport, the chosen race team running this year’s Formula Woman winners in the GT Cup, has developed training packages tailored to support 2023 applicants in their preparation for the competition. FORMULA WOMAN ANNOUNCEMENT
All applicants from last year and this year please read on regarding the 22/23 Formula Woman Competition.
THE COMPETITION
Motorsport is not cheap and relies very much on sponsorship. The Formula Woman concept allows women with a passion for driving to enter motorsport at a cost-effective level.
The £99 access fee not only gives you access to the Portal and membership pack, but also gives you the chance to undertake a free assessment at a track in the UK or possibly a track near you if you are overseas. However, many of you secured personal sponsors to help you with travel and accommodation and also training, which of course we encourage.
For those in last year’s competition, who didn’t make the final and who would like to have another attempt, there will be a £75 admin fee to guarantee your place. For those who made the finals, providing you have registered your interest with Formula Woman, you will receive a free assessment day.
For all new members, you will automatically be allocated an assessment day very soon at a track as close to you as possible. In North America, these assessments will take place at the end of October and the UK assessments will be in November.
If you get through to the finals, these will take place in the UK at the end of November or possibly the first week of December. Last year we didn’t leave enough time between the finals and the season commencing, this year the time in Jan through to April will give us sufficient training time to get the winners up to speed.
THE TRAINING
Formula Woman will be arranging training days at circuits across the UK and also some of our assessment day tracks overseas will do the same.
The Boot Tour we operated recently was a huge success and offered training on the track, in karts, on the simulator and included a sponsor workshop. A further boot tour was recently announced for September and this has filled up very quickly. It’s likely one more will be arranged in October.
The one-to-one training and introductory course at circuits around the UK are also becoming very popular and in motorsport terms are extremely good value, as they are subsidised by our partners Trade Centre Group.
We encourage all applicants to get on track, go on simulators, get fit and prepare well. Whether you train with Formula Woman, other driver coaches, attend track days and increase your fitness levels, being well prepared will help you reach the finals.
Some applicants just want to engage with the global Formula Woman community, so the assessment days allow you to meet like-minded women and have a lot of fun together!
THE PRIZE
There will be two separate prizes this year!
Dependent on what you disclosed on your application form, you will be entered into either green or blue sectors.
Green is for novices (two made our GT cup team) and Blue is for those who have had some experience (two made our GT Cup team) One prize is for blue and one prize is for green.
….and for all finalists that don’t make the 2023 Formula Woman team, a free testing contract will be offered along with some Sparco kit…. Everyone’s a winner!
For clarification on the above….
